WHAT IS LOVE??
.
.
I used to think love at first site was a thing. Sorry to burst your bubble if you thought that was how you were going to meet Mr. Or Mrs. right. What I've learned now is that love takes a lot of communication, a lot of patience, a lot of respect, kindness, empathy, dedication and I could go on. Bottom line is LOVE is HARD WORK. .
.
To be successful at this thing called love. You really have to learn to let go of the reins of control and realize this is another human with their own life journey. This human existed before you were there and they will continue to exist, if you're gone. With that being said, the goal should be to simply be to BE.
.
.
If that doesn't make sense think of the metaphor of the farmer and a flower. If the farmer picks the flower it will die. If the farmer waters the flower too much it will die. It is only once the farmer gives the flower what it needs and not what he thinks it needs, that it begins to thrive and then blossom.
Shoutout @inspiredbyshandel for her 2020 Vision Board Social!! Not only was it an amazing and well put together event, it was also an extremely intimate moment of women being vulnerable with one another. .
.
I knew this year I wanted to meet more like-minded women. I am so happy to be sharing spaces with so many honourable women this year. So many strong, beautiful, independent women. Women who are out there not just talking the talk, but also walking the walk. I remember writing an affirmation in my notes that said; .
"My friends and peers are successful, empathetic, respectful, trustworthy and honest...because I am too. They are a reflection of me because we are like-minded individuals."
.
.
It just goes to say, that what you ask for, you literally WILL receive! BUT you have to continue to focus on your goals, always trust the process, be consistent (as a person and in your career) and keep the faith!
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
- Maya Angelou
.
.
There was a point in my life where the only thing I thought about was death. My mission truly was to survive another day, everyday. I would wake up upset to be alive. It took everything in me just to perform basic functions like brushing my teeth, showering and eating. I spent 7 months like this. What happened?? You’re wondering. Life happened…this my friends is what living with BPD can look like. .
.
I am proud to say that my mission is no longer to survive. My mission now is to live fully, love unconditionally and help others to do the same. It’s not always easy but it’s a mission worth dying for, and I will not give up until I have spent every last second in my life achieving just that!

“So, what if, instead of thinking about solving your whole life, you just think about adding additional good things. One at a time. Just let your pile of good things grow”
- Ed Lester .
.
This quote is super fitting for today. I was recently telling my finacé that I don't feel like I have a passion because I LIKE many things but don't LOVE anything in particular.
.
.
Do you ever feel like you love something until it becomes a job?? That's why they say make your passion your purpose, so you enjoy what you do. What they don't always mentally prepare you for is what to do when your passion is running dry.
.
.
For me, the solution lies in looking inwards. A lot of times the success of your career and other facets of life are directly related to where you are, right now. If you are uninspired by your work its probbaly because you are uninspired by your life. Switch it up, try something new or do something different. Just take each day one step at a time.

"SKINNY" VS. "FAT" WHY BOTH CAN BE INSULTING. 😖😤
Your 10lbs over is my 10lbs under
#struggleisstruggle
.
.
It amazes me how many times in my life people have started a "compliment" with you are so lucky that you are sooooo skinny. News flash - THIS IS NOT A COMPLIMENT TO ME. I work extremely hard to attain balance in my life. One of the biggest factors which affects my diet is my work and mental health. I have to eat 5 meals a day to retain 130-135lbs at 5'8". Even at this rate of consumption I'm still not much bigger.
.
.
We are all built differently. Different genetics, gender, diet, and lifestyle will affect each person, making no two bodies entirely the same. The rules to weight gain and weight loss are similar throughout (unless you have a medical condition) but the rate at which that happens and the location of where your body chooses to store weight is very different from person-to-person.
.
.
In my opinion, which is the only opinion that matters about my body - I am petite with a fast metabolism. However, I naturally store more weight in my upper body than lower body, making it easier for me to build upper body strength. I do not particularly like this about my body so I work out to achieve a more proportional look.
.
.
Which is ironic in itself because the same thing that helps me build a booty and overall shape is also the cause of my weight loss and "boyish" shape. At a resting state I burn 1434kcal. So I must eat more than that daily, if I'm working out too. You may like what you see but that doesn't mean the person walking in those shoes does. So think twice before you call someone "skinny" when you are blessed to be curvaceous. While your're appreciating me, I might be appreciating your bountiful beauty!!

pan·sex·u·al
/panˈsekSH(əw)əl/
adjective
not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.
.
.
People often assume I'm a lesbian because I'm with a woman. Fun fact; I've spent just as much time in relationships with men as I have women. It wouldn't matter if she was he or him a her. I just know what my heart and my mind like.
.
.
I have always been drawn to a person's ability to treat others with love, compassion and kindness. Additionally, if we have trust, respect and loyalty. I'm probbaly never going to leave. Looks fade, character is irreplaceable!!!
